About me
I've long held an interest in
photography but it started to get serious in 2003 with my first
trip to the Goodwood Festival of Speed motor sport event. The
following year at the same event saw the stunning low level
display of a SAA Boeing 747-400. This sparked my interest in
aviation photography and with my first DSLR (Canon EOS 20D)
purchased in 2005 I was soon making regular visits to RAF
stations. In 2006, I made my first visit to LFA7 to photograph
what the RAF does best, tactical low level flying. It's fair to
stay I was hooked.
Photography for me is what I would
describe as a serious hobby. It isn't what I do for a living and
I have no intention to making it my full time profession but I
have sold pictures and have had pictures published.
My current photography equipment
consists of a Canon EOS 40D, a Canon EOS 30D, a Canon 300 f/4
L IS, a Canon 100-400
L IS, a Canon 17-40
L and a Sigma 10-20.

This site has grown from my image
gallery
g0rd.com. It is intended to allow me to share the pick of my
photos from whatever visit or event I attend along with a few
words. My hope is this will be a better way to share my photos,
allowing people to visit this site to see what is new or to
subscribe via
RSS.
My image gallery will run along side this site holding a more
complete collection of images.
