The final training exercise (FTX) for the troops deploying on HERRICK 16 to Afghanistan took place on the Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA) in Feburary. The exercise is conducted under the name Ex PASHTUN DAWN and the air operations that support it use the name Ex PASHTUN JAGUAR. For this exercise the same types were used as the last exercise in 2011 with Lynx, Merlin, Puma and Chinook.
