The Cosford Air Show isn’t an air show that is usually on my list of air shows to attend, not that there is anything wrong with it, but between RIAT and the RAF Waddington Air Show I would see all the acts that are displaying at Cosford. This year I made an exception. The chance to see the excellent Dutch F-16 display and the new Harrier Role Demo and Tornado GR4 Role Demo three weeks earlier than the RAF Waddington Air Show was enough to change my mind. Sadly, the weather whilst starting off well became more overcast as the day went on before the heavens finally opened as the Harrier took to the air. Even the brightly painted Dutch F-16 and the Hawker Hunter ‘Miss Demeanour’ struggled to stand out against the sky. The Opening Acts2010 Display Hawk T1 XX263The 2010 Display Hawk did it’s best to find some sunshine in its display and once the sunlight did hit the hawk the paint scheme came to life. Typhoon DisplayWhilst the Hawk tried to find some sunshine the Typhoon spent most of its time in the cloud cover or trying to create a vapour cloud of its own.
